The Alfred and Plantagenet Public Library is committed to providing equal access for all members of the community to information, lifelong learning, literacy, and the love of reading.
HOME OUTREACH
The Library provides outreach services including home delivery for persons with disabilities who are homebound and have no alternative means of obtaining library materials as well as a monthly mobile collection delivery service to seniors residences & apartment buildings.FACILITIES
The library are wheelchair accessible and is continually improving the accessibility features of internal signage and furnishings as budget allows and as required by the AODA.COLLECTIONS
The Library develops and maintains accessible collections in a variety of formats including: large print books, audiobooks, DVDs and literacy materials. The Library also offers downloadable e-Books and audiobooks as well as access to a full range of electronic databases that you can access from the library or from your home.The library’s collections and community information displays include materials with information on a range of disabilities, disability issues, and services for people with disabilities.
